Key Topics Covered: • Stormwater Regulations: Understand stormwater permits and the Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWP) under the Clean Water Act. • Best Management Practices (BMPs): Learn about BMPs to prevent sediment and pollutants from entering storm drains and water bodies. • Site Controls: Properly implement and maintain perimeter controls, stockpile management, and stabilized exits to prevent sediment runoff. • Erosion Control: Use techniques like cross-tracking, seeding, and erosion control blankets to stabilize slopes and prevent erosion. • Spill Response and Equipment Maintenance: Handle fuel spills, maintain equipment, and dispose of trash and debris properly. • Compliance and Inspections: Regular site inspections ensure BMPs are effective. Communicate with the project manager and site superintendent to address stormwater compliance concerns.
